Michael Desguin

Michael is a member of the Maiden Stone Advisory Board.

With twenty-five years of experience as an architect and an additional nine years of ownership expertise, Michael lends a unique perspective to our team bridging the aesthetic desires of the designer and the practical needs of the craftsman with the visual and functional goals of the end user.

Spanning 34-years, Michael’s career has been intensely focused on a model of collaboration with immensely talented designers, architects and contractors.  He remains vitally interested in strengthening the connection between design leaders within the built environment and at the same time, broadening his exposure to the design leaders beyond the built environment.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, Design Leadership Network, Institute of Classical Architecture and Art and, a number of business and community-based boards.

Michael has resided in Houston since 1982 and lives in the Montrose neighborhood with his wife Sandra.  They have three adult children Aubrey, Austin, and Matthew, and one beautiful granddaughter Madeleine Jean.
